The Richmond Chamber of Commerce exist to provide services, resources and advocacy to foster growth in the business community and benefit West Contra Costa County. We believe a healthy community can only be maintained by a strong local economy. The Richmond Chamber represents and works for our members, which include businesses and organizations not only located in Richmond but those located elsewhere and doing business in Richmond. BENEFITS AND PRIVILEGES
“Membership Insider” Email Newsletter
The Membership Insider is an exclusive email newsletter that is sent twice a month, on the 1st and the 15th, to only our member business representatives. This email is packed with current business news, upcoming networking opportunities, Ambassador-of-the-month, new members and member anniversaries, photos, stats and a special section for our members’ announcements. Although all members will receive this email, only those members that are at the Promoting Business Level and above are able to add their own “announcements” to this email. Richmond Magazine and Member Directory
Printed every other year, this magazine includes our membership directory and articles on Richmond. This is a high quality publication with a printing of 7,000 copies. Only members are included with high visibility in both free alphabetical and classified listings. Advertising opportunities are limited to members. Richmond Magazine is distributed to current members, city offices, hotels, and the business community.
RCOC Website and Online Membership Directory
The Chamber’s website is a useful source of information about the Chamber and Richmond business community featuring current news, networking events, community advertising and Online Membership Directory organized both alphabetically and by service category. Here, new members get special recognition for the first three months. Links from the directory to member businesses provided free. There are also advertising opportunities available on the website and are limited to members only.
Richmond/West County Map
Every other year the Chamber publishes a map of the city of Richmond and West Contra Costa County, with an inset overview of the San Francisco Bay area. Locations and short explanations of Points of interest, Historical sites and Public art locations also appear. Advertising opportunities are limited to members.
Advertising through the Chamber
You have options when it comes to advertising and promoting your business through the Richmond Chamber. Take advantage of Business-to-Business advertising as well as Business-to-Consumer advertising. There are options offered to every membership level such as purchasing a Featured Members Quarterly Online Ad, receiving printed member mailing labels for free or becoming the sponsor of one of the regular networking events.
Although, if advertising is what you’re looking for, you’ll want to join at the Promoting Business Level. At this level, your advertising perks also include sending up to six Think Local First Email Campaigns to over 5,500 contacts per year and you will be able to add your announcements to the Membership Insider Email Newsletter ‘Membership Announcement’ section whenever you want. If advertising is what you need, get the best bang for your buck, by joining at the Promoting Business Level. Read more about the advertising options offered through the Chamber.
Chamber Information Center
Members can display their business cards and promotional materials in the Chamber office. Information includes flyers, brochures, menus, etc.
Event Exposure and Networking
The Chamber hosts many events each year. This event offers members outstanding business exposure and excellent networking opportunities. At selected events, display booths provide members the opportunity to market their products and services. The cost to participate is always discounted for members.
Grand Openings/ Anniversaries/ Ribbon Cuttings/ Groundbreaking Ceremonies
The Chamber sponsors these events to increase the visibility of new and relocated member businesses. These events are highlighted and promoted in the E-News, Newsletter, and on our website.
Meeting Room Use
A private conference room is made available to Chamber members. The conference room seats up to 25 guests and offers wireless internet, projector and screen for presentations.
Payment Options
We want to make this as painless as possible. If one lump sum just won’t work, consider making monthly payments on your membership dues. We take cash, check, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express).
Relocation Packets
Informational packets are sent out on request. This is an excellent way for Chamber members to access the initial buying habits of newcomers to the Richmond area.
Certificate of Origin
The Chamber signs and stamps “Certificates of Origin” to members for overseas shipments at no charge. $25.00 per form for non-members.
Tax Deductibility
Membership in the Chamber is 100% deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense.
Referrals
Thousands of times each year members are referred in response to phone and write-in inquiries from residents, newcomers and visitors.

An attractive plaque to display proudly at your location.
Escalante Center Computer Training
Classes in computer training are offered to members of the Chamber and their staff completely free. Learn more what classes are offered.
Resource Center
Information/resources are available at the Chamber – includes community demographics, criss-cross city directory, and more.
Advocate for Business
The Chamber is the voice of the business community in local, county, and state issues representing the business community in problem solving, promoting economic development, etc.
