Rubicon Awarded Federal Grant for Re-Entry Program

Rubicon is one of just five organizations nationwide to be awarded a special federal grant. The purpose of the award is to make sure men coming out of prison provide financial and emotional support for their children and stay on the right side of the law.

Support will be provided to 300 Contra Costa County men re-entering communities in Richmond and East Contra Costa County after serving prison terms. Why is this work so important?

More than half of incarcerated men have children under the age of 18. Rubicon’s aim is to help these 300 families build economic stability, healthy relationships, and to nurture thriving children.
