AC Transit will be hosting several community meetings next week about Proposed Fare Restructuring. A series of community meetings on the proposal will be held and the public is invited to attend and comment. The proposal includes these elements:
• Introducing a local Day Pass & eliminating transfers
• Adjusting pass prices
• Offering discounts on local Clipper fares
Subsequent to the meetings listed, AC Transit is also having a public hearing later in the month, at their general offices. The AC Transit Board of Directors will receive public comments about a plan to restructure AC Transit fares — including the introduction of a new Day Pass, elimination of transfers, adjustment of pass prices, and discounts on Clipper fares. Because this can be an important issue for many of our riders, we want to be sure to offer these community meetings and subsequent hearing.
