The Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) is currently accepting grant applications for emission reduction projects located throughout the Bay Area, including Richmond! This is a great opportunity for those local businesses who own or operate commercial vehicles or equipment.
Currently, $5 million dollars are available on a first-come, first-served basis to owners and operators of heavy/medium duty diesel commercial vehicles and equipment that include: diesel trucks, emergency vehicles and equipment, marine vessels, locomotives, agricultural and off-road equipment, and for shore power projects.

Funding is available to:
- install verified emission control devices
- replace older engines with newer and cleaner engines
- replace older equipment with newer and cleaner equipment
- purchase new diesel equipment that is cleaner than the law requires
