We are pleased to share exciting news from our community partner, the Stride Center, and its nonprofit social enterprise, ReliaTech, which are increasing economic opportunities in West County with the expansion and launch of the Neighborhood Technology Center (NTC) in San Pablo.
The Chevron team joined the Stride Center and ReliaTech in March as the organizations celebrated the grand re-opening and ribbon cutting of the remodeled and expanded NTC, a community resource designed to increase economic opportunities for West County residents by providing free technology access and training.
Located at 2300 El Portal Drive in San Pablo, the ReliaTech’s NTC serves as a local technology hub for the Richmond community, providing discounted computers as well as a variety of classes, e-waste recycling, and free technical advice. The NTC will also focus on helping local residents obtain low-cost broadband connections for their homes.
The San Pablo location is the first of many NTCs that ReliaTech plans on opening in neighborhoods throughout the West County to help increase access to basic computer needs and information for residents.
Chevron is a proud and longtime supporter of the Stride Center, which is working hard to create local jobs in this community and empower economic self-sufficiency through technology education and access. Chevron welcomes the first NTC to West Contra Costa and looks forward to celebrating ReliaTech’s future milestones.
At Chevron, we believe in supporting the community we are part of, and each year we demonstrate our continued effort to make our community a great place to live and work by investing in organizations that expand opportunities for youth, education and economic development.
