The Chamber also asked all 13 City Council candidates what business in the City of Richmond meant to them. Hear those who provided answers to the following questions to help guide you as you cast your vote this November:

• What does economic development mean to you?
• How will you work with the business community if elected?
• What does job retention mean to you?

1.       Economic development means growing our existing businesses and recruiting new businesses.

2.       If elected, I will work with the business community by meeting with business owners and organizations.

3.       While employee retention covers an organization’s ability to maintain employees, job retention is the Region’s/ City’s ability to attract and maintain competitive employment opportunities for residents.
