The Richmond Museum of History is excited to invite you to support our fundraising dinner on Friday February 3, 2017 at the Richmond Country Club! The evening is themed Revealing Hidden History and proceeds will allow the Richmond Museum of History to continue our critical work through 2017 and beyond.
A strong local history museum is important for the local economy because the Richmond Museum Association (RMA) is eager to capitalize on the current excitement about local history generated by the Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park. The visitor center of the Rosie Park attracts nearly 4,500 people each month to the Richmond waterfront. Reinvesting in the Richmond Museum of History will draw those visitors to the heart of our City, where we hope they will spend money and continue the revitalization of historic downtown. Join us for the benefit dinner on February 3, 2017 and make a long term investment in the local Richmond economy. Help us make the City of Richmond a destination for cultural tourism.
Tickets for Revealing Hidden History are $75 per person or $600 for a table of eight. Please consider purchasing a table of eight and inviting your friends and family to join you. Tickets can be purchased by phone at (510) 235-7387 or online at http://richmondmuseum.org/events/2017benefitdinner/. If you cannot make it and still want to support the event, please consider donating an item or certificate for a service to the silent auction. See the attached order form for more information.
Local history is important because it demonstrates that ordinary people have achieved extraordinary feats and it inspires people to reach for the same in their own lives. With great supporters and visionaries such as you who support our endeavors in spirit and finance we can continue to preserve and educate about local history.
