The Richmond Public Library Foundation is a 501(c) 3 charitable nonprofit established in 1997 by a group of dedicated library patrons.  The mission is to develop, administer and allocate tax-deductible private and corporate gifts to provide an extra margin of excellence for the Richmond Public Library.  The Board of Directors are volunteers from the business, educational, entrepreneurial, philanthropic and legal sectors of our community.  Its past “Literary Legacy” campaign raised over $2 million dollars for improvements to the Main Library, while our Annual Fund raises funds for on-going support of the Library’s collection, programming and events.
