The A’s are partnering up with the Richmond Chamber of Commerce to host Richmond Day! On August 18, Richmond community members can take advantage of special ticket rate when the A’s face off against the Houston Astros. $5 of every ticket sold will benefit a local nonprofit. Prior to the game, there will be a pregame tailgate party in A Lot with local food trucks. Joining the tailgate will be neighboring towns in a fun Bay Area Chamber of Commerce family tailgate!

2018 Independence Eve Celebration
July 3rd at 6:30PM

This free event is fun for the whole family, with live music, food, an instrument petting zoo and spectacular fireworks over the bay! 

The centerpiece of the evening is a free concert by the Oakland Symphony conducted by Michael Morgan, featuring Sousa marches, music from the movies, singalongs and more. 

Taking place at the  Craneway Pavilion, located inside the historic Ford Point Building on the waterfront in Richmond, the sights and sounds will be remarkable!


Seating is limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs. Food and beverage concessions will be available throughout the event. No outside liquor will be permitted.

Do you represent a business, foundation, or nonprofit organization? You can connect to our almost 6,000 guests at this concert at an information table! Visit the registration page for more information and to secure your spot.

Voted “Best Outdoor Music Festival” by Best of the East Bay!

Concerts are held on the second Friday of each Summer month through September, from 5:30 pm to 7:45 pm. The next concert will be July 13th!

The season closes with a final concert on the last Friday of September.

Local restaurants are open on concert nights, offering a wide array of cuisine. We feature art by The Arts of Point Richmond, face painting for children, and dancing in the street.

Festival-style seating is available with a limited number of chairs provided, and concert-goers are encouraged to bring their own festival/lawn chairs.

During the 2017-2018 academic year, the Richmond Museum of History was able to offer transportation scholarships & free admission, as well as, facilitation of educational activities to classes from local school!

Your help is needed to continue the mission of bringing EACH and EVERY child to the Richmond Museum of History during their time in the West Contra Costa County Unified School District.

Proceeds for this event go directly towards the K-12 school program at the Richmond Museum of History.

KAISER PERMANENTE COMMITS TO $200 MILLION IMPACT INVESTMENT FOR HOUSING STABILITY

Good health and wellness are key factors towards quality of life, but what if your housing stability is “shaky” at best, or “almost gone” at worst? Physical and mental health can be low on the list of priorities, especially if you just are just trying to keep a  roof over your head. 
 
On May 18, 2018, Kaiser Permanente, the nation’s largest integrated health system, announced an impact investing commitment of up to $200 million through its Thriving Communities Fund to address housing stability and homelessness, among other community needs. 

Prevention of homelessness amongst low & middle income households will be the main focus of these efforts. Anyone living in the Bay Area already knows, affordable housing has become difficult to find or maintain as the cost of living continues to soar. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s latest definition of the “low” income level stands at $117,400 per year for a household of four people in San Francisco, Marin and San Mateo counties. This is more than 10% up from last year!

Bernard J. Tyson, chairman and CEO of Kaiser Permanente states, “We hope our commitment creates a broader national conversation on homelessness, and encourages other companies to join with us to advance economic, social and environmental conditions for health.”
