The A’s are partnering up with the Richmond Chamber of Commerce to host Richmond Day! On August 18, Richmond community members can take advantage of special ticket rate when the A’s face off against the Houston Astros. $5 of every ticket sold will benefit a local nonprofit. Prior to the game, there will be a pregame tailgate party in A Lot with local food trucks. Joining the tailgate will be neighboring towns in a fun Bay Area Chamber of Commerce family tailgate!

Voted “Best Outdoor Music Festival” by Best of the East Bay!
Concerts are held on the second Friday of each Summer month through September, from 5:30 pm to 7:45 pm. The next concert will be August 10th!
The season closes with a final concert on Friday, September 14th.
Local restaurants are open on concert nights, offering a wide array of cuisine. We feature face painting for children and dancing in the street.
Festival-style seating is available with a limited number of chairs provided, and concert-goers are encouraged to bring their own festival/lawn chairs.

We will gather to celebrate the legacy of Rosie the Riveter, an icon for women across the world.
Join us for this FREE and family-friendly event for fun, festivities, great food, costume contests, dancing and MORE!
Instead of breaking the Guinness record, this year, we encourage everyone to update Rosie in creative ways or to come in traditional garb to join the largest Rosie celebration and festival yet.
This year’s event will honor original WWII Rosies and home front workers and celebrate the ordinary people from many backgrounds, races and communities across the U.S. who stepped up to extraordinary challenges during WWII.
We’re looking for volunteers to help out on the day of the Rally!
We need people who would like to help with set up/take down, greet guests, parking, crowd control, directions and more!

Rochelle Ballantyne
Rochelle Ballantyne is an African American chess player. She was one of the students featured in the 2012 documentary “Brooklyn Castle.“ Her United States Chess Federation rating is 2062, putting her in the 99th percentile of American junior players. She needs to reach the rating of 2200 to become the first African American female chess master.
Now 22 years old, she has been playing chess since she was 8 years old. Raised in New York City, Ms. Ballantyne’s grandmother taught her to play chess and she continued to hone her skills through the Chess-in-the-Schools (CIS) program at PS 139 in Brooklyn. She won the 2012 All-Girls National Chess Championships, and was awarded full scholarships to the University of Texas and Stanford University. She graduated from Stanford in 2016.
Ms. Ballantyne will discuss her experience as a budding chess master and will demonstrate her skills by playing 6 players simultaneously. This event is free to the public and wheelchair accessible. Sponsored with the assistance of the West Coast Chess Alliance.

The San Pablo Avenue Corridor Project is working to make San Pablo Avenue safer, more comfortable and more convenient for people who walk, drive, bike and take the bus and BART along San Pablo Avenue.
The Project is focusing on the cities of Oakland, Emeryville, Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, Richmond and San Pablo. The Project is being led by Alameda CTC in partnership with WCCTAC and in coordination with Caltrans, AC Transit, BART and the seven jurisdictions through which the corridor travels (Oakland, Emeryville, Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, Richmond and San Pablo) and are surveying businesses along the corridor to ensure that merchant loading/unloading needs are considered alongside the needs of others who use the corridor.
